Pawnee had an incredible Family Night last night! We had Field Farms come and talk to our students and families about Chickens, Quail, and Goats! Students were able to feed the goats, hold the baby chick, and have an up close experience with some animals.
There was also some games, crafts and a tattoo station. We can’t forget the snacks, that was a highlight as well.
Thank you to all the families who came out and enjoyed the evening with us, special thank you to Coree Field from Field Farms who came and talked to the students and brought her animals for the students and families to experience! This was an incredible way to close out our month long Animal Encounters!
Thank You,

ACE Family Engagement Night details!
Since January is local Stock show time, our ACE/ASP program has focused our theme this month on Animal Encounters! Each week our students have been introduced to a different animal, and a wealth of information about them. Planning this week’s guest was incredibly exciting for us, and despite the cold the kids LOVED the experience. They were engaged, interactive, and excited to learn about the milk cow!
The Southwest and Southland Dairy Farmers Mobile Classroom Unit came and talked about the different milk cows, when the can be milked, what different types of milk we get from the different milk cows, how it’s processed and gets to stores; as well as what they eat, how they are taken care of, how they are milked and SO much more!
As the Coordinator, Director and Teachers we strive to keep things fun and engaging and we definitely like to think out if the box to bring in neat experiences for our students! Special thank you to Southwest and Southland Dairy Farmers and their Mobile Classroom Unit for this amazing experience!
