Ms. Martin's Teacher Page

MS. Cheryl Martin brings 20 years of experience in the education system.  She has experience as an educational secretary, a paraprofessional, and 11 years as a classroom teacher. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree from The University of Houston – Downtown in 2015, her Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from Lamar University in 2018, and is currently working on her Master’s in Special Education from Grand Canyon University.

Ms. Martin has three grown children who are married and 9 grandchildren.  Her daughter and both daughter-in-laws are educators as well.  She has a passion for all students and builds lasting relationships with both the campus students and the staff.  Her love for children started at a young age and her passion for education took hold in the eigth grade after spending the Summer working with Children with Down Syndrom.  She was finally able to obtain her degree when she was 47 years old and is so grateful for the opportunities that have been given her.
